The aim

The stunning property is an excellent example of Victorian architecture and, a formal warehouse synonymous with the areas affiliation with the jewellery industry. However, the space required a significant facelift to create a modern, productive office environment respectful to the building’s history.

Office specifics

Large warehouse divided into quarters.

Core works completed

The team at Cooper Weston worked with contractors to deliver a full, bespoke lighting and electronics solution. Standard installation included CAT 6 cables, data points, comms cabinets, lighting in separate offices, sockets and switches throughout the unit and ample electrical supply to every room.

Standard office installation

Four independent lighting circuits were used to divide the main warehouse space into quarters. The space will be used as an office area, so to improve energy efficiencies, motion sensored PIR lighting was installed into the main office area, kitchens, toilets and the meeting room to reduce waste from lighting areas not in use.

An additional feature provided by Cooper Weston involved the fitting of a Fibre Optic cable, giving the office Fibre Optic broadband capacities. This feature heightens potential rental value and increases the scope of the working environment.

All electrics were run through a large metal conduit which added to the industrial feel and neatened the aesthetics of all electrics, with metal trunking used for sockets and switches.

Lighting sculpture

The office space required a lighting solution to complement and brighten the space. A unique lighting sculpture was added to one wall of the office space to draw attention to the industrial feel and create a stylish talking point.

The project took just under one month to complete and was delivered on schedule and within budget, ready for the space to be acquired by new tenants.
